font-size: 10px; padding-left: 15px; padding-right: 15px;]romance is something of a foreign concept to her. although sophia is interested in men and finds great entertainment value in being flirtatious, she has never actually pursued a serious relationship with another person and feels awkward and clumsy when she even imagines attempting such a thing. after all, she has always been the undesirable tomboy with scraped knees and a love for video games and wizarding rock music. in comparison to those preened and polished ladies waltzing about the halls, she feels more like an eyesore than a marketable candidate for the dating scene. even so, she doesn't let this deter her and has convinced herself that she'll find her one true love when fate decides it's time. until then - she's just set on having fun and not taking herself too seriously.[/style][style=font-family: Arial Narrow; font-size: 10px; padding-left: 15px; padding-right: 15px;]despite her willingness to please and her innate ability to build strong friendships without exuding very much effort, sophia harbors her fair share of flaws that would likely get on the nerve of most others. she tends to speak her mind freely without taking another person's feelings into consideration, she can be loud and obnoxious, interrupts conversations, is riled by the pettiest comments and enjoys arguing far too much for her own good. because of these charming little personality quirks, she has garnered as many enemies and rivals as she has allies. not to mention the fact that she drives her professors wild with her undisciplined behaviour in class and her unwillingness to showcase the talent that she keeps carefully hidden away out of embarrassment and a deeply-rooted self consciousness.[/style] |

soooo, friends? we can work out something in their past, though unless they knew each other before school started, then Hydra wouldn't have seen Sophia as a friend till their 2nd year at the earliest. she too is a difficult one to gain trust as she's pretty much terrified of most people.

As much as he's a liar and likes to blend in, Monroe appreciates people who are blunt and straightforward -- for what it's worth, he'd find Sophia entertaining at the very least. I can see him either goading her into arguments for the lulz and sparking a wonderful rivalry-type-thing...
But I can also see them as an odd sort of friends (Monroe's a sucker for blatant honesty and loyalty, because it's so hard for him to trust others). I'm not entirely sure how that would work out or if you even want it, so I'll be brief~ I assume, at least, that they'll have a few classes together given the same year, so they could interact that way.
:D I'll wait to say more once I've got your thoughts~

hydra & sophia , so i definitely think that sophia would develop some sort of maternal attachment to hydra. she can appreciate people who prefer to sit quietly in the corner, but if she ever witnessed the other girl being bullied or taken advantage of, she'd most certainly intervene. let's just run with the assumption that they've only recently - within the last year or two - become friends. that might be easier, and it'd give us a chance to see exactly how their friendship would blossom.
monroe & sophia , just so you're aware, sophia is definitely going to take advantage of the situation and dub him 'marilyn'. like, how could she not? that pretty blonde hair of his aside. BUT I DIGRESS. i love what you've got in mind for these two so far. they're the same age and would definitely have a few classes together - so that has given them plenty of opportunity to get to know one another. on the surface they'd probably act out some kind of rivalry .. what with the constant bickering and exchange of insults. but on another level they'd probably discover qualities in each other that they wished they had themselves. so .. possible respect? of course sophia would never admit to such a thing aloud and wouldn't dream of awarding him the pleasure of hearing it!

baww marilyn. i'm sure he'll secretly be very happily amused by that nickname.
I imagine he might pester her a bit for goofing off or whatever in class... but we can develop that through threading and whatnot. :D I rather like the idea of a grudging respect growing between them and whatever else comes from there. Maybe we could thread them bumping into each other before class or um. Whatever, really. |D I'm tired and have no good ideas right now, I'm so sorry for these pointless replies.
Perhaps she could catch him practicing his transformation into his animagus form (a shark) in which he gets stuck halfway and walks around with flippers for the rest of the day -- :| or something.

Reading over this, I can't help but feel that Bianca and Sophia would be borderline sworn enemies rivals to the highest degree, primarily because they strike me as complete opposites. Sophia is affectionate, generous, sincere, and loyal as opposed to Bianca being cool, strategic, materialistic, and manipulative - I feel like originally Bianca would have tried to "befriend" Sophia and use her seeing how loyal she is, but obviously would have failed thus igniting a bit of a mutual hate between the two.
Whether something like that actually occurred or not, I think it would be pretty interesting to see them interact. I can just imagine Bianca purposely trying to get under Sophia's skin as vice versa, and that could lead to some interesting plot development.

monroe & sophia , i believe that the simple fact the nickname would amuse him .. would only serve to infuriate her further. she'd make such a huge effort to find ways to irritate him and he'd only find it entertaining! in any case, it might be fun to have them paired up for a group project. that way they'd be forced to get along for the sake of their grades. sophia would likely slack off, just because she knows for a fact it would bother monroe. that and she has a tendency to slack off anyway. also, the animagus idea might be fun to try as well. just let me know what you'd like to do! i'm pretty laidback about these sorts of things.
bianca & sophia , so, i'll have to go back and really read through bianca's biography, but judging by what you've told me about her, i can imagine that they'd get along rather poorly. especially if bianca attempted to take advantage of sophia's kindness or generosity at any point. she's not someone who takes that sort of behavior lightly and has a difficult time forgiving and forgetting. of course she'd have been willing to extend the other girl a chance to redeem herself, but i have a feeling that would have only annoyed bianca. so enemies it is! bianca might attempt to keep up appearances in public over the whole mess, but sophia isn't that sort of person. so you can expect a few awkward moments between the two when they cross paths in the corridors. haha.

I dunno if it's something you'd be willing to consider but what about a quidditch rivalry? You've given loads of traits that would make it seem like Sophia would be into sports wizarding or otherwise so it might be doable! If not that I'm not sure what would be the plot haha.

daniel & sophia , i have a sneaking suspicion that sophia harbors a secret love for daniel LULZ. i'm just kidding, but really .. i love the quidditch rivalry idea. sophia is especially competitive so she'd probably talk smack to him on the field in an attempt to psyche him out. only he doesn't seem like the sort of person who would fall for it, and just end up talking circles around her. off the field she'd be genuinely fascinated by his strange manner of speaking and the frankness with which he delivers his opinions. in fact, they could probably be decent friends if they tried hard enough. let me know!

Haha, well, Daniel normally keeps to himself but I think it's definitely doable. Do you want their first real 'acquaintance' to be that Great Hall thread? It's not terribly far fetched given they're in different houses and in different grades.
Quidditch could have been where they know each other from.
Edit: Drat, I mean Quidditch could be how they recognize each other but before the Great Hall fiasco there wasn't really anything personal about the games at all, it was just a sport.

For now I kind of want to know if Daniel is going to be up cow pie creek without a paddle sort of trouble or more... y'know, straddling the tenth circle of hell built specifically for him sort of trouble before the two meet since that might affect the meeting itself. For now, tentatively let's say that there might be some free periods where the quidditch pitch can be used for broom practice and they happen to see each other then?
