First Year

• Lumos: Creates a narrow beam of light that shines from the wand's tip, like a torch.
  
  
• Flipendo: The Knock-Back Jinx, used to push the target.
  
  
• Arania Exumai: The spider-killing curse. It kills spiders on contact. Weaker versions can be performed to shoot spiders away rather than kill them.
  
  
• Alohomora: Used to open and unlock doors. It is not effective on doors bewitched to resist this spell. The spell can also unseal doors upon which the Colloportus spell has been cast.
  
  
• Wingardium Leviosa: Allows the user to make an object levitate.
  

Second Year

• Lacarnum Inflamare: It sends a ball of fire from the wand.
  
  
• Rennervate: Revives a stunned person.
  
  
• Conjunctis: A curse that causes great pain to the victim's eyes.
  
  
• Langlock: Glues the subject's tongue to the roof of their mouth.
  
  
• Locomoto Mortis: Locks the legs together, preventing the victim from moving the legs in any fashion.
  

Third Year

• Expelliarmus: This spell is used to disarm another wizard, typically by causing the victim's wand to fly out of reach. It can also throw the target backwards when enough power is put into it.
  
  
• Lumos Maxima: Shoots a ball of light at the place pointed, if the Wand is swung.
  
  
• Oppugno: Causes animals and beings of lesser intelligence to attack a target.
