year one

Alohomora: Used to open and unlock doors. It is not effective on doors bewitched to resist this spell. The spell can also unseal doors upon which the Colloportus spell has been cast.

Anapneo: Clears a target's airway if blocked.

Lumos: Creates a narrow beam of light that shines from the wand's tip, like a torch.

Nox: Turns off the light produced by Lumos.

Wingardium Leviosa: Allows the user to make an object levitate.

year two

Converto: Causes circular objects to rotate and roll. This can be used to make an object with wheels such as a carriage or suitcase move on its own or follow the caster.

Epoximise: Affixes an object to another like glue.

Lacarnum Inflamare: It sends a ball of fire from the wand.

Rennervate: Revives a stunned person.

Reparo: Repairs an object destroyed by non-magical means.

year three

Bubblio: Puts a large bubble of air around the head of the user. Used as a magical equivalent of a breathing set.

Engorgio: Causes objects to increase in size.

Expelliarmus: This spell is used to disarm another wizard, typically by causing the victim's wand to fly out of reach. It can also throw the target backwards when enough power is put into it.

Riddikulus: A spell used when fighting a Boggart. It forces the Boggart to take the appearance of an object the caster is focusing on. Best results can be achieved if the caster is focusing on something humorous, with the desire that laughter will weaken the Boggart.

Reducio: Makes an object smaller.

year four

Finite: Negates the effects of spells.

Impedimenta: Impedes an advancing target from reaching the caster by momentarily creating an invisible obstacle.

Impervius: This spell makes something repel substances and outside forces including water. For example, it could stop a book from being getting wet.

Protego: The Shield Charm causes minor to moderate jinxes, curses, and hexes to rebound upon the attacker.

Tergio: A spell used to siphon matter from a surface, eg. blood, ink, dust, etc.

year five

Accio: This charm summons an object to the caster, potentially over a significant distance. It can be used in two ways: by casting the charm, and then naming the object desired, or by pointing the wand at the desired object during or immediately following the incantation to "pull" it toward the user.

Episkey: Used to heal relatively minor injuries.

Exscribulus Volumen: Bewitches a writing utensil to write down anything that is said upon a scroll or parchment.

Ferula: Creates a bandage and a splint.

Shieldus Eradicus: Emits a red light from the wand which destroys average protective barrier charms on contact. Destroying more powerful shield charms can be accomplished by a group effort.

year six

Aqua Eructo: Creates a powerful jet of clear water which emits itself from the tip of the wand.

Disillusio: Causes objects and people to become invisible. This spell cannot be used on one's self and wears away in due time. The spell does not make objects invisible to people who are certain something is hidden.

Fianto Duri: A spell which causes magical shields to double as physical shields to prevent someone from passing through.

year seven

Expecto Patronum: The Patronus Charm is a defensive spell used to conjure an incarnation of the Witch's or Wizard's innermost positive emotions to act as a protector against dementors and lethifolds. It can also be used to send messages. A full patronus will take the form of an animal.

Partis Temporus: Creates a temporary gap through physical barriers magical or otherwise.
