It is not effective on doors bewitched to resist this spell. The spell can also unseal doors upon which the Colloportus spell has been cast. Lumos: Creates a narrow beam of light that shines from the wand's tip, like a torch. Nox: Turns off the light produced by Lumos. Wingardium Leviosa: Allows the user to make an object levitate. Herbivicus: Makes flowers and plants bloom in an instant, has some similar affects from Orchideous. Second Year Cistem Aperio: A spell which can open a closed (unlocked) chest. Conjunctis: A curse that causes great pain to the victim's eyes. Everte Statum: Sends the target flying backwards. Rennervate: Revives a stunned person. Reparo: Repairs an object destroyed by non-magical means. Third Year Expelliarmus: This spell is used to disarm another wizard, typically by causing the victim's wand to fly out of reach. It can also throw the target backwards when enough power is put into it. Flagrante: Causes any object affected to burn human skin when touched. Incendio: Sets target on fire. Riddikulus: A spell used when fighting a Boggart. It forces the Boggart to take the appearance of an object the caster is focusing on. Best results can be achieved if the caster is focusing on something humorous, with the desire that laughter will weaken the Boggart. Stupefy: Stuns victim. If used too forcefully, it will put the victim in an unconscious state. Fourth Year Impedimenta: Impedes an advancing target from reaching the caster by momentarily creating an invisible obstacle. Impervius: This spell makes something repel substances and outside forces including water. For example, it could stop a book from being getting wet. Mimblewimble: A curse which prevents certain information from being revealed by the individual upon whom the spell is placed. The curse manifests itself by causing the tongue to temporarily curl backwards upon itself. Mobilicorpus: Levitates and moves bodies. Protego: The Shield Charm causes minor to moderate jinxes, curses, and hexes to rebound upon the attacker. Fifth Year Accio: This charm summons an object to the caster, potentially over a significant distance. It can be used in two ways: by casting the charm, and then naming the object desired, or by pointing the wand at the desired object during or immediately following the incantation to "pull" it toward the user.
