Alistar had wanted to meet with the Professor Avery after a few days had passed since the winter break had officially started. He was curious about a few things and also wanted to know her view a some matters. He sat over his desk writing on a parchment a letter to the Board of Governors.
He had to gain the favor of the students a little more for his plan to work. Yet, he knew this would be hard. These were children he was dealing with and he knew that a few would detest some of the decisions he made. All those matters could be settled later, he just didn't want everything to happen to fast.

The marble staircase rotated in a circular fashion from its place on the third floor up to the headmaster's office. Standing atop of it was none other than Professor Avery. She had recently heard that the headmaster wished to speak with her, and of course she would respond to his call. The staircase ceased turning, after which Arianna made her way out of.
"Greetings, Alistar," she greeted him as she walked toward him. She took one sure step after another until she had finally reached his desk. At this point, she was sure that he would have something important to discuss with her. Most likely it would have something to do with the Dark Arts, her current subject, but she couldn't be too sure, nor would she attempt to make a guess about it.
"Trouble in paradise, sir?" she questioned.

Looked up from his writings and placed it to the side once Arianna had made her way in. This woman was truly a marvel of beauty, he could only hope to be able to get a chance with her. Yet, that would have to wait til after their discussion. Hopefully they could quickly get through that.
"Evening Arianna. I was wondering, how are the teachings going? Are the any students giving you any issues? I'm sure you can handle them but it is still my duty to check on my teachers. I wouldn't want see that pretty face twisted anger." He got up and gestured to the seat in front of his desk, walking around to the front of his desk to seat closer to her and on the edge of his desk.

"No. No issues, sir," Arianna answered him shortly. There really wasn't much to say about her classes. Commanding the attention of her students wasn't very difficult for her. She did it somewhat effortlessly. Of course, she had her curses to help her with demanding respect. Arianna wasn't exactly the nicest person to people who disrespected her. Of course, she'd never cause any permanent damage to her students. They were, after all, only children.
Arianna made her way to the seat in front of the headmaster's desk. She straightened her robe once and then plopped down atop of the seat. She eyed Alistar suspiciously, even as he came to sit on the edge of his desk before her. She was certain that the only reason he called her into his office wasn't to ask her how her classes were going. He had to have more faith in her than just that.
"Now, what's the real reason you called me in here?... or did you just need some company?"

Alistar look her dead into her eyes. He was sure that she was possible the one to help him in his endeavor. It would be easier to search for some of the places around the castle for the things that could be of help to him if there were just a couple of others to help him. He felt a certain trust that he could put into Arianna and that she would also be the one to do the job.
"Well, as you may know, I want to change the whole school. I want to be rid of those damn muggle borns. They should not be here. The great founder of our house say it as such, but Gryffindor had to have his way. We are going to bring that vision back and make it true. Will you help me in this and be also my Deputy?"

Perhaps the headmaster's words shouldn't have been so surprising as they were to her. She hadn't been expecting to hear him say something like that. Get rid of all the muggleborns, he said. She looked up, now looking the man directly in the eyes. She wondered what his motives were, exactly. Looking into his eyes, she couldn't read anything. No emotions. Nothing.
"Now, how would you propose to do such a thing?" Arianna spoke quite casually. Her words were strung together quite elegantly. She evinced no concern over the matters. She openly took no side, as of yet.

That was the million dollar question, wasn't it. He knew that the duty set upon him by his fore fathers was going to have some hardships, but he wouldn't be where he was or who he was if he had let those hardships get this best of him. There was always a way to do things, and that was why he looked upon her for help.
"That's the thing, it will not be an easy and short task. It will take careful planning. Muggles do not belong in these halls and we have to give the populace a reason why. The wizarding world has to understand that in time, they will consume us and there will be no more real wizards."
He knelt down by her side and took her hand into his. "Will you be my guiding angel through this? Take this journey with me by my side? You have seen the brighter and darker side of all of this. You can help guide the students and staff into the direction that we see fit." He said all this being meaningful and manipulative at the same time.

"You are ever so charming, Professor," Arianna said with a light smile as he took her hand. It was difficult to tell whether he was attempting to charm her by simultaneously making a move on her and flirting. Of course, she was more than smart enough than to allow herself to be swayed into an offer by the temptation of sex and/or a relationship.
"But I am not going to agree to anything without knowing exactly what it entails," Arianna answered. She surely wasn't going to put her neck on the line and allow herself to get in trouble with the Ministry again. After all, she had quite nearly gotten herself thrown in Azkaban for excessive use of the Cruciatus curse on a criminal not too long ago. She didn't want to end up putting herself at risk like that again.
"But now, Professor, don't get me wrong," Arianna said, now standing up from her chair. She leaned forward, and over to his ear. Their bodies were now pressing up against each other. She'd whisper.
"If ever there is something you need, all you must do is ask. Whether I say yes or no, anything that happens will stay between us."

Alistar looked down her back as she whispered into his ear. Well, this surely going to prove interesting. He let a grin play on his lips as he let her words sink in. These two surely would be a powerful duo. Yet, that was the thing about this matter and also why he had picked her. She had acted upon how she had felt and what was just. That was the kind of person he needed.
"Well, that's the thing. All the plans are laid but are ever changing to go with how the people are. This task is about risk taking and knowing what you feel is right. This is also why I picked you as Dark Arts teacher and asked you her to discuss these things. You know what its like to do what you feel is right. As long as we tread carefully, no one should get into trouble. Though do understand this, if it does go bad, I will be the one to take the full heat of things. No one will know that you are a part of things. I will do what I can to make sure that everything we do stays with in these halls."

Arianna heard every word he said, including his promise. However, to her, said promise sounded like empty words. Perhaps he would try to take all of the blame if anything went wrong, but that did not mean that was how it would happen. If he went down, any accomplice would likely go down. And at this point, she didn't even know how underhanded he was planning to get. Was he going to hurt the muggleborns in the school? Kill them? Or maybe he was going to attempt to sway people to his side from a political standpoint. If that wasn't the case, perhaps he was even planning to use blackmail and mind control. It was possible.
"Empty promises, sir," Arianna proclaimed. She really didn't believe him, but she wasn't going to hide that fact from him. If he asked her to do something which she was afraid of getting caught for, she would simply refuse to do it. It was that simple. However, at the same time, she had no qualms with covert operations. She simply wasn't going to be a scapegoat or a pawn in this. He would not be sacrificing her in his schemes. She would make sure of that.
Arianna pulled herself off of him and now stood up fully. She then turned around, crossing her arms in front of her as she mulled things over.
"Now, is that all for today, sir?"

Watching her as she got up and turned away. He felt that he had miss understood her in a way. She must not have understood the situation he was already in by one, having her as a teacher and two by having the Dark Arts as a study program. Yet, both of these things he wanted. She was the one he saw fit to teach the students in these studies.
Standing upright now, he would walk over behind her. Now whispering into her ear. "If those things happen, that's how it will be. I don't plan for it to go like that. I just want to help people understand. In this world, it is words that help people understand, more then action. We will only take action when and where it is needed. I just want help in devising a way that we can show that Muggle borns are a threat to our lively hood. That they will soon break what we have established. They don't have the same background as us, and it will only prove to be our down fall."
Taking a step back and leaning back on his desk, crossing his arms. "I am just looking for someone who has dealt with both sides of the situation from a more hands on experience. You as an Auror have done so, I am sure. You also may have dealt with certain non magical folks that have gotten in the way of your objective. I'm not looking to be a charity case, but I'm just looking for a friend among these walls."

Arianna felt an odd chilling sensation course through her entire body after he whispered into her ear. It had been a long little rant, but she had followed every word. She didn't really understand much what he was getting at, but she did agree with most of what he had said. She didn't care much for the muggle-borns to be in the school and taking up the resources of other students. Of course, that and they were also contributing to the increase in squibs. This was something that could not be tolerated within the wizarding community.
However, his belief that she had dealt with muggle-borns and muggles excessively as an auror was false. She had barely dealt with them at all, and while taking out an enemy, she did not discriminate. Dark Wizards were dark wizards and that was that.
"You should know that already, Alistar. You have a friend in me... and perhaps we could even be... much much more."

Alistar was slightly taken aback by what she had said. This was something he had not really expected to come of the meeting. Though, he was a little happy that it had happened. Yet, he really couldn't have her as such if she was not willing to go with what he wanted to do. He wasn't going to get her wrapped up into something if she didn't want to.
"Well, Arianna. If you want to take that step, I'm more then willing. Though, I don't want you to get tangled in this if you don't want to because more then likely, if it were to happen then you would also be involved. I would like to have you as my lover and adviser if at all possible."

Arianna nodded. It was still difficult to tell what kind of work he had in mind for the two of them. She knew what their motives were, but she did not know the means by which he hoped to achieve the desired end. It was uncertain, however, at the same time she knew how to watch out for herself more than well enough. She had survived as an Auror for a reason, and she was a pretty damn good Auror if she'd say so for herself.
"Don't worry about it Alistar. I know how to protect myself more than well enough," Arianna attested as she took a few steps toward him. She lowered both of her hands to his and clasped them both, pressing their palms together.
"I'll do the best I can," this was the most she could say. She'd give him no promises. She wasn't certain she could agree to carry out any task he gave her, because as of yet, he had given her nothing. She'd find out in due time.

Alistar allowed her to grasp his hands. Feeling the warmth coming from them as he looked down at her. He released her left hand and wrapped his right around her back, pulling her in closer, pressing his hand into the small of her back. He was happy to have her by his side and would make sure that he would take the route that would only keep them safe.
"That is all I can ask for." He let out in a whisper, his red eyes staring into her blue ones. With that he leaned in to kiss her on the lips. Not only were things going well, but now he he the best woman to help him. He only saw great things for them in the future in his own mind.

Arianna stood up on the very tips of her toes. After her released her right hand, she replaced her right arm around his shoulder for some extra balance and leaned up to kiss him as well. Their lips met. It was somewhat magical. Their first kiss together, right alongside the scheming that they were doing. All the while, she couldn't help other than wonder how far he'd try to go in the future to make his dreams come true.
However, all scheming aside, she felt quite comfortable in his arms. The headmaster. Such power he had. Such security for their future... assuming he didn't screw up by letting greed get the best of him.
