Alohomora: Used to open and unlock doors. Not effective on doors bewitched to resist this spell. The spell can also unseal doors upon which the Colloportus spell has been cast.
Arania Exumai: The spider-killing curse. It kills spiders on contact. Weaker versions can be performed to shoot spiders away rather than kill them.
Lumos: Creates a narrow beam of light that shines from the wand's tip, like a torch.
Nox: Turns off the light produced by Lumos.
Wingardium Leviosa: Makes an object levitate.
Second Year Spells:Arania Exumai: The spider-killing curse. It kills spiders on contact. Weaker versions can be performed to shoot spiders away rather than kill them.
