This would prove to be interesting. As he watched the boy's wand fly from his hand and he go chasing after it. What greatness did come from these Gaunts? He would soon find out from their children. They were the generation he would look to once his time was done here. At what rate could this young boy learn this spell at, he would soon find out.
Walking over to him and kneeling down next to Julian, he would place a hand on his shoulder. "Okay, I want you to follow what I say." He said looking in the direction of Lorelai. "Keep your gaze on Miss Gaunt, and hold your wand pointed at her. Making sure that you feel sure of yourself in what you are doing and don't stutter on the words. That could cause for a terrible situation. Lock your eyes on your sister and wave your wand in a circular motion while saying Expelliarmus."

Julian was now beginning to feel the pressure that came with having the headmaster of the entire school kneel down beside you and try to teach you a spell, not realizing that the student in question was not very talented to begin with. The boy had never found any special talent within himself, so he was fairly certain that none existed, that he was merely ordinary and an average learner. He’d never been able to master anything quickly, and that was the very detail that was scaring him right now… in front of the headmaster and his sister, he was going to fail.
The boy pointed his wand at Lorelai as he was instructed, taking in a deep breath to calm himself as his eyes focused on the girl. Yeah, he was going to, ”Expelliarmus--” fail… The boy waved his wand as he spoke, and met himself with immediate failure as he felt some unknown force blow him back ten feet and into a wall. ”Ughhn…”

The spell had failed. Lori watched as her brother went flying backward and into the wall. How embarrassing, and that had to hurt as well. She wondered if he would even be getting back up after something like that. Because of this, Lori turned around, smacking her palm to her forehead. She would say nothing, but she did want to leave. She turned around again to watch her brother. She wondered if he would get up or if he'd stay down.
"Sorry, Professor Lestrange. He just needs a bit more practice. I'll help him," Lorelai promised. However, she hoped he'd leave. She didn't want for her brother to embarrass her in front of him any more, and she would certainly help him master the spell if she could. Regardless, she dashed toward her brother, grabbed him by his arm and pulled him up to his feet.
"There."

Alistar was slightly disappointed by what had happened. Yet, he couldn't expect much from a first year though. Looking on the boys slump to the floor. His face was expressionless as he watched his sister run to his side and help him up. Luckily, he felt secure that she would keep her word.
Though, this little trip was a little informative to him, he felt that he should continue his rounds to the other houses. "Please do. I appreciate the attempt. If he needs medical attention be sure to go to the nurse. Though, I think he will be fine. Practice as you please. You have my permission to use the common room for the day. Just only the two of you though. I must continue on to the other houses."
Getting up from where he was kneeling, he would put up a slight wave as he exited out of the room.

”Owww…” the boy groaned as his sister tugged him back onto his feet. Julian felt… what was it? Oh, dizzy… He couldn’t remember if it had actually happened or not but it felt as though he’d gone and hit his head hard off the wall, by the way it was pounding and the way the room appeared to be spinning all around, he was almost certain he had knocked his noggin pretty good against the wall.
”Sorry, Lorelai…” Julian mumbled after the headmaster had gone out the door, leaving them to themselves. He was well aware that his screw up in front of the headmaster himself had been a big mistake, but could no longer do anything about it or even try to attempt the spell again now that the man had left. It didn’t matter, the boy didn’t feel up to practicing any spells anymore anyway.

"Whatever."
Julian's apology really meant nothing to her now. The embarrassment was over now. Whether or not he was sorry made no difference. It bore no results. Still, she couldn't be too mad at him. If anything, she was more mad at the situation. Her was only eleven or so. Much too innocent at that as well. How could she expect him to know how to protect himself.
"We'll practice on this tomorrow," Lorelai promised before walking away and heading to the girl's dormitories.

… On top of the dizziness, Julian just felt as though he was the worst brother in the whole world. He hated to disappoint, and yet he always seemed to. It was like an awful cycle with him, the harder he tried, the worse he made things for other people. It upset him greatly to think that way but it was difficult not to after seeing the look in his sister’s eyes before she had walked away.
Left to his own devices, Julian decided that he would rather go to sleep on the common room couch than attempt to stumble back to his dorm. Pressing the flat of his palm against his forehead, he walked the remainder of the way across the room, step by uncertain step until he finally managed to collapse upon the couch. At that point, it was not the least bit difficult to fall asleep.
