"There's one! Oh wait!? There's another one!"
As snow fell from the skies above, Rhonwen held out her tongue and continued to gleefully chase down the falling snowflakes in an attempt to catch them upon her extended tongue. It was a small game she enjoyed the play, much like any child would. Many would think the act was childish, but she hardly was one to really care about others opinion. To her, it was part of the seasonal festivities.
It was a few days before she would be leaving to return home to the Burrows. The last opportunity to play this game while she still had free time. Of course, she'd like have done it even if she didn't. Snow was fun to her, especially in the many ways you could have fun with it. Rhonwen had already constructed three snowmen, each hold a broom she had borrowed from the kitchen. Though she was certain that she'd have to give them back at some point, hopefully before they realized they were gone. The same went for their features, with consisted of carrot noses and fig eyes.
Their clothing of hats and mittens belonged to her brothers, whom she didn't think would care if she used them. Once they saw how cold it was, they'd praise her for being so generous.
"Almost got it...Yes! Woah!"
Upon finally catching one of the white flakes, Rhonwen found herself falling forwards, landing into a small snowbank. Rising up from the pile, the girl simply giggled as she turned herself on her back and began making an angel imprint of herself.
"Snow Angel! Hahaha!!"

There was most kids, the ones who got to go home for winter break and have fun with their families and all the holiday cheer… And then there was Julian, the boy who was still trying to cope with having to stay at Hogwarts through the entire holiday week. Everyone was packing their belongings and getting ready to leave, everyone except for his family and the others who were staying at the school. But most of the students got to go home, and it would have been nice to be one of them instead. Julian had taken to wandering about the school and the school grounds, not wanting his presence to come to annoy anybody… and he was fairly certain his sister would much rather him be far from her than hanging around back in the Slytherin common room moping about how much he missed home. Besides, his mini exploration had just now proven to be worth it! Snow!!
It was everywhere, a giant white blanket had settled over the grounds! The boy rushed out the doors, out into the grounds. He hardly even seemed to be bothered by the fact that he was wearing little more than a pair of trousers and a long-sleeved shirt. The happiness that the sight of snow brought to his eyes overpowered the frigid cold.
Oh, and look! Someone had made snowmen already! ”They’re brilliant!” Julian commented happily, standing not far now from the three snowmen. It wasn’t until after he'd spoken up that he noticed there was someone rolling around in the snow nearby. ”Oh, and hello! ... Are you the one who made them?”

Rhonwen was brought out from her fun when she heard the voice of someone nearby. Blinking as she rose up to a sitting position upon the fluffy white surface beneath her, the young girl looked towards the young boy and grinned as he commented on her creations before nodding.
"Yup! It took me a little bit of time but I managed to get them up and all set up on my own. Still it would have been nice to have had help, the lower parts are so heavy to roll by yourself. Of course, I made it so that they were all the same so it kinda was my own fault on that. But yup! They are pretty neat!"
Standing up as she walked over towards the boy, Rhonwen continued to talk as she rushed around to one of the snowmen while she began directing his attention towards many of the features.
" You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get their faces right! I wish I could have found some better eyes. I had tried to use rocks, but the rocks were so pretty so I kept them, but then I didn't have anything to use for their eyes. So to that, I went into the kitchen and borrowed some figs. But then I remembered that I needed noses for them too! After all, whats a snowman without a nose right? Have you ever seen one without a nose? Of course not! So I took some carrots as well!"
Reach up towards one of the snow beings, the red haired girl gently wiggled the tip of it's long orange nose and giggled as she continued.
"But then! Just as I was about to leave, I realized that they needed something else! I thought and thought and though before finally remembering! Brooms! The snowmen needed brooms! So I took a few of those too! They were really heavy too! I had almost fallen over with all the things I had in my hands! Hmm...maybe I should have taken them all out one by one?....Oh well! Details details! Anyway! Do you really think their that great!?"

"Flipendo!"
A blue blast shot like lightning from the tip of Shana's wand. The blast struck one of the snowmen at full force, blowing it apart and shooting snow everywhere. Said blast was soon followed by another, and then another, and then one more. All three snowmen were blasted apart and fell to the ground. Soon after, the girl responsible made her way toward the rest of the group. She ran to them, having been a good 50 meters away only moments before.
"Whoah! Those targets you made were pretty cool!" Shana said with a wide smile. She was pretty content right now with the accuracy behind her spells. After all, she did wish to become a duelist some day.
"We should make some more!"

Julian was equally excited to have met someone who expressed so much enthusiasm over such little things. Well, he didn’t consider snowmen and snow and all that to be little things, but he knew that there were other people who might
He grinned as she practically flew over to one of the three snowmen and began to point out each of its features one after another, explaining all the feats and troubles that she’d had to go through in order to get them as perfect as they had turned out. ”Snowman’s gotta have a nose,” the boy nodded knowingly as the red-head continued on.
And did she even have to ask? Of course he really thought they were that great. ”I do! They must be wizard snowmen, right? Since they have brooms?” of course, they had to be, why else would they each have their own broom? To fly with, obviously! ---
”—Woah!” Julian would have called out the same thing after each snowman explosion, but they were all destroyed one after another so quickly, he didn’t have enough time. Oh, how little time had he known the snowmen for… yet he was saddened all the same. He took a step forward, frown on his face at the dark-haired hufflepuff. ”What’d you do that for?”

Rhonwen just looked upon the destruction in shock as she shook the snow from her body as proof of what had remained of her life-less creations. All her work, every bit of it was now scattered upon the ground. Nothing remained of the men of snow, save their clothing and facial features, which had now been spread out upon the grounds due to the impact of the magical strike. It was almost enough to make the girl cry, jaw dropped as she looked towards the girl as she ran up towards them in excitement towards her work.
Feeling her eye brow twitch somewhat at the mention of them being targets, Rhonwen frowned as she held her hands at her sides before moving passed the young boy while marching directly towards the snow murderer. Stopping so that she was facing her, the girl narrowed her eyes as she began to shout.
"Those...weren't....TARGETS!!!"
Leaning forwards as she continued to speak, the red haired girl could feel her balance somewhat slipping under the snow, but didn't care as her anger seemed to be in full force towards the actions of this stranger who had destroyed her work.
"They were art! Art that took me hours to do! Do you have any idea how long hours are!? Do you!? Its a very very very long time! Which means I spent minutes putting everything together by myself for a reason! Then you came along, thinking to yourself that they were targets and blew them up! If they had been targets! I would have no problem with it! Targets are meant to be blown up! That's the point! But they weren't and now their remains are all back in the snow!!"
Gritting her teeth as she closed her eyes, the girl then finally felt her balance give out, falling face first into the snow as she laid there with a sigh.
"Now I have to do it all over again! Its gonna take even more hours than before now. That's even longer than last time, which means less time for coco or snow angels..."

"They didn't look like they took hours to make," Shana said sternly. There was no rancor in her voice. She was simply being ernest and truthful with Rhonwen. But part of this had to do with the fact that she wasn't interested in things such as beauty or aesthetics. Either that, or Rhonwen didn't have much talent yet.
"They looked like targets," she said more sternly. No matter what happened, they would look like targets to Shana. She wasn't going to change her mind about this any time soon. Shana crossed her arms, wand still in her right hand.
"And you don't have to make them over again if you don't want to. I can make new targets by myself in much less time. It's fine."

The red-haired girl –he’d have to figure out her name later—was awfully upset, and Julian couldn’t blame her. Those snowmen had been her creations! And according to her, they had taken practically forever to build! It was no wonder she was upset as she was… he felt bad to see her that way.
”Huh—cocoa and snow angels?” What could he say? He was easily intrigued… and those things both sounded fun.
Julian sat down upon the snow, trying to figure out what he could do or say to make things better. Well, that was right before he promptly stood right back up after realizing how cold the snow was to sit on. Anyway, he padded himself off and ran a few paces until he was closer to the other two kids. ”Well, it’ll take less hours if we all rebuild ‘em together! That’s less time and less minutes, right?” he turned his head in the red-head’s direction as he asked, almost as if he seriously needed to hear her confirm what he was saying as being correct. Then he glanced over at the dark-haired girl before switching his eyes over to the snow at his feet. ”Maybe we could rebuild the three snow-wizards first, and then see how fast we can make a bunch of target snow guys!”

There were few moments when Rhonwen felt as though the meaning of her words seemed to go unheard. These moments she could recall very easily and most of them had to do with times in which her mouth was full, making her sentences seem mashed together like a muffled sound. But usually she was easy to understand. At least, this was what she thought. It wasn't as though she had any complaints. Many just seemed happy to be away from her due to her....energetic personality. But this was one of those moments where her being misunderstood seemed more at the fault of someone else, rather than just herself.
Rising up once again, the red haired student glared towards the dark haired girl, eyes remaining narrowed while she frowned. Her hands were balled into fists at her sides, almost as though they had been tied there. It was the only thing she could think of to do with them, since if she moved them, it was likely that it would be to push the girl for what she had done to her snowmen. Perhaps the force would then make her realize the error in her judgment, but it didn't seem likely. In fact, she seemed just as stubborn on the matter as Rhonwen.
But just as the young student was about to debate the matter once more, the boy from earlier made the suggestion that they work together to build the snowmen once again. It caused Rhonwen to look towards him with a blank expression, then watching as his gaze converted towards the ground while suggesting that they then work on the targets once the snow wizards had been rebuilt. The idea was fair on both sides, so long as the two girls could work together on both parts of it.
It was difficult, but Rhonwen smiled somewhat as she nodded in agreement. Doing it this way would be faster and less work considering how long it had taken last time. Plus, there was no telling what new forms could be crafted from such a combined effort.
"Ok! We can do that!"
Looking at the boy with a grin, her expression returned to a calm one as her focused returned to the dark haired assassin before her. With an slow extension of her hand, the 1st year student looked towards her calmly as she awaited her reaction.
"It....shouldn't take that long to make target snowmen for you, so if you help with the snow wizards, we can get right to working on your new targets. They won't be as glamorous, but their targets so they're supposed to be ugly and misshaped. At least this way, you don't have to work alone and neither do I. Plus, it could be a lot more fun. So can we agree to that? Otherwise we might just be screaming at each other all day....Well...I was screaming, you were just being all rock like and stubborn. But then...I guess I was being like that too huh? Oh well....Details details! Can we agree?"

"No.. That'll take way too long," Shana argued. She wasn't going to sit around and make the girl's targets again and put their clothes back on the long way. Not when there was a much much faster way of doing things. Instead, Shana held out her wand above the snowmen.
"I know a spell that'll fix 'em right up for you." With that, Shana began to wave her wand around the flatenned snowmen and their clothing. After about three waves of her wand, the girl prepared her incantation.
"Repairito!" The girl said. After this, the snowmen began to reform themselves, but before doing so, their clothing suddenly caught fire, thus melting the snow. And of course, the clothing was scorching as well.
"GAH! They're on fire!" Shana gasped.

”Oh no! Oh no!” The boy wildly flailed his arms around at the scene. When the girl with dark hair had said she could fix the snowmen right up, he had believed her, and was interested in seeing what she did. But now the snow wizards’ clothes were all on fire and the lumps of snowmen snow had melted and… and… This girl just kept making this worse and worse!
”No, this is bad! What do we doooo?!” Julian fell down helplessly into the snow in his exaggerated way of being at a loss for what to do. His open palm pressed down against the snow beside him, giving him the idea to start throwing handfuls of snow one after another at the flame-covered articles of clothing. He stood up, scooping up a two fists full of snow and throwing them down at the clothes. It wasn’t much, so he knelt down a few more times, each time rising again only to throw some more snow onto the flames. He didn’t know what else to do or if he was even helping at all.

It hadn't really made Rhonwen feel any better to see the girl simply push off her attempts to make peace. In fact, it was pretty rude. All she had wanted to do was have fun in the snow, yet in one swift movement, that fun had been taken away by someone being simply careless and selfish. But, even she had to wonder just what spell she had in mind, watching in a mixture of annoyance and curiosity while the girl pulled forth her wand.
While at first, it appeared as though her plan had worked. The snow wizards had once again taken their forms and clothes. Their facial features returned and their finger-traced smiles were back in their proper place. Though in a second that seemed to vanish as their clothes lit up in flames, melting the men and leaving only a small pile of burning clothes in their place. For a moment, Rhonwen began to giggle somewhat, seeing this as a joke and a show that the girl was seriously lacking in skill with magic. But then, the student realized that these clothes and items didn't belong to her and that this was bad for her as well.
"Oh no! What have you gone and bloody done now!? Look at this!! This is a nightmare and nothing like how they were before!! Now their melted and their clothes are all burning! Oh no no no no!! This is bad! Very very bad! This stuff doesn't belong to me! I was borrowing it! Now I'm gonna be in big big BIG trouble!! Ugh!! No no no!!"
Following the example of the boy beside her, she began to quickly lift up handful after handful of snow, tossing it upon the burning clothes as an attempt to kill the flame. It made sense, since the more snow that was used, the less powerful the flames would be and unable to get bigger. But still, she couldn't imagine what would be left after this had been done.
"I'm dead...Very very dead! I'm so dead that my ancestors are less dead compared to me right now!!"
Looking over her shoulder towards the dark haired student, the red haired female narrowed her eyes as she shouted towards her.
"Well don't just stand there!! Help! But do it without magic! It's easier and less likely to cause more trouble! At least in your case! Working together will make things better! It's not always as easy as waving a bloody wand! Oh! See? I'm saying a bad word now!! Dart! I have to put money in a jar now!!"

"AHHH! No! That wasn't supposed to happen!"
Well, Shana understood at this point that it was no good that the clothing were on fire. Even if they were just targets, that was real clothing, and if what Rhon said was true, then perhaps she'd be in a lot of trouble. Shana sweatdropped. She was lucky that she couldn't get in any trouble for this.
"Well, don't worry. I know another spell that will patch this right up!" Shana said. She looked down at the clothes and held her wand up still.
"We're not muggles. We're supposed to use magic."

Julian was sure by now that his and the redhead’s efforts were proving fruitful. The fires were going out until only a few little patches of flames remained, and that would only take a little bit more cold wet snow to fix.
The other girl was still just standing there and not helping… but then again, maybe that was for the best. The last time she’d tried to help, it had ended up in… well, this! The three of them were so frantic right now, they probably looked like some crazy spectacle for anyone who might be watching them from a window or something, like Julian’s siblings… or even a professor. But he realized there couldn’t be any professors witnessing this, because if that were the case, they’d all already be in trouble for starting a fire! So… that was good?
The boy heard the fire-starter speak up about using magic again. Immediately dropping what he was doing, he tilted his head back to notice that she was already getting her wand ready to act. His eyes then quickly shifted to the red girl. ”What if she makes it explode this time…? Take cover!” he called out, scrambling out of the way.

Upon hearing that the girl had planned on taking another crack at solving the problem through magical means, Rhonwen was quick to her feet. While the boy seemed to be preparing to run for cover, the red haired girl had no intention of running. At this point, she still believed that she could salvage what remained of her siblings winter gear. It might take some time, but she could very well knit it back to at least where it still could work. But if this girl managed to do something worse, than that would be out of the question.
"No your not!! I've had enough of your help!"
With that, Rhonwen attempted to push the girl into a bank of snow as a means to stop her, looking back at it appeared that the last traces of the flames had finally begun to die. Breathing out a sigh of relief, she then returned her attention back towards the other girl as she shook her head.
"I'm sorry I pushed you, but it had to be done. Don't you see that you've only made matters worse by trying to use magic to solve things! I know it easier, but magic doesn't need to be used for everything. Did I really just say that? I mean...I use magic for holding up my books or even my laundry. But still, magic doesn't have to be used for everything. That's why we have hands! To use magic for the smallest things is just being a lazy bum! You're not a lazy bum are you? I don't think you are...I am sometimes, but I don't use magic to have fun! Especially when it comes to making snow wizards...."
Smiling brightly as she looked towards her, Rhonwen then attempted to help the dark haired girl up by extending her hand towards her.
"Do you understand now? I mean...I might not have been clear so I can repeat it again if you want? Though the main point is that magic doesn't have to be used for the small things. Or at least for having fun...Or maybe just for when you really really really want to use it to finish something quick. Like cleaning your room before your mum sees it all messy! Or fixing your sister's hair before she sees that you caused her to go bald as a joke...."

Shana was taken by surprise when the Gryffindor girl pushed her down on the ground. The girl feel to the ground, her butt hitting the snow hard. Now that was rude. That was very rude, and Shana would not tolerate it. Without much thought, she immediately held up her wand and pointed it at the girl who had just pushed her down.
"Conjunctis!" And this time, if the spell landed, it would work. It was a spell which would make Rhonwen feel as though she had just gotten shampoo in her eyes. It would burn and sting, and it would make her eyes swell up, no doubt. But Shana wouldn't be sorry.

Julian had rolled out of the way but no explosion came from the pile of clothes and melted snow. Honestly, he was surprised, as he had truly been expecting a second spell to result in a larger blast than the first.
Clear from any danger, he looked about to locate the girls, and at that point found the two of them pushing each other around and waving weapons around in fighting back. Unsure of who had done what and who had started what, the boy merely stared with worry.

His eyes held thirst for power and knowledge. He smiled roguishly yet charmingly like a thief in the night who was up to no good. Arcamedis had plenty of things on his mind, but nothing to set him into a fowl mood. He was going places, and he was so close to getting out. Still, there was so much yet to be done, and he was almost out of Hogwarts. He is one of the most successful and brilliant students to enter their premises. He had made his family, teachers and peers look up to him in envy, awe, fear, admiration, scorn, and even love. He felt no such emotions for anyone in return, but there was such thing as acting and pretending. His exterior behavior would fool them all, they could not see his carefully hidden guile. He had only just recently stripped a young Potter's Prefect status by request of the Headmaster himself. The look on her sad little face had sent a pleasant shiver down his spine, such a tasteful feeling of satisfaction over someone else's grief.
His painfully good mood would be ruined by some childish ruckus. He turned his head to see his brother having some good fun with a filthy little Weasley. How quaint. Why would his younger brother even interact with such a rat? Perhaps he needed to teach them a lesson. He walked up to them and stopped next to Julian, whom he looked down and smiled cheerfully at. He turned his attention back to the fighting females. Such aggressive little things, weren't they? He was disappointed that Shana would give into her emotions so foolishly. She was their slave. It saddened him to see that she could not restrict herself better.
"Now, children," he said, his voice as smooth as silk, "do try to behave yourselves. I wouldn't want to hand out Detentions when I am in such a pleasant mood. And it such a nice day. I pity the one who has to be locked up inside while the Holiday season passes on by. Now tell me, who started this?"

"Ow! Ow! Ow!!"
Rubbing her eyes rapidly, Rhonwen continued to voice her pain as she soon found herself stepping backwards to the point that she tripped upon what remained of one of the three brooms she had been using previously. This then caused her to fall onto her bottom, hands still consistent in trying to clear her vision. It was almost as if she some of her sisters make up powder in her eyes, but it just wouldn't go away. The matter wasn't made any better by the fact that it was causing her eyes to swell up as her tears attempted to help in clearing her gaze.
How could this girl have done this? After having tried to be nice, she went about casting a spell on her! How rude was that?
While thinking about what kind of spell she intended to perform as payback, Rhonwen soon heard a voice that seemed to command respect, but was smooth enough to get attention. Still trying to clear her eyes, the red haired girl sat up while still groaning over the irritation surrounding her eyes.

Shana relished in her success after having successfully placed the curse on Rhonwena. She didn't hate the girl, but the girl had pushed her down. It had been instinct to fight back. Shana, however, was more proud of herself for having used the curse successfully than for having harmed Rhonwena. At least that was until she heard the voice of a prefect nearby.
"Oh, bloody hell!" The girl jumped up onto her feet, and with that, she took off with the speed of the wind. She dashed in the direction of the castle. She certainly didn't want to get in trouble.
