Characters from Canon Families will be accepted on this forum, however there will only be a limited number of them allowed. Of course, Characters of canon families will have structured families, and there will be a certain number of siblings allotted for them. In addition, pure bloods must be from canon families. If your character's application personality does not match the house which your character is required to be from, then you may be asked to alter your application. BLACK FAMILY pure-blood || wealthy || purist The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black was one of the largest and oldest pure-blood wizarding families in Britain. Many wizarding families in Britain are distantly related to the House of Black. The father, Regulus Black, and his wife, Laura Black née Malfoy, are both very wealthy. Laura is a stay at home mother, and Regulus is in charge of St. Mungo's. This is the fourth richest family in the wizarding world. BURKE FAMILY pure-blood || wealthy || purist The Burke family was once a high class and proud pureblood family of great wealth. Over the years, division of the family assets stretched the family's wealth a bit too thin, and so they had to resort to selling their own items in their family shop located in Knocturn Alley. The current heir to the store, Marcus Burke, married Lacerta Meliflua, who's mother was Ascella Black. CRABBE FAMILY pure-blood || poor || purist The Crabbe family comes from a long line of purebloods. The father, Vincent Crabbe, and mother, Kallisto Crabbe née Goyle are both servants to the Malfoy Family. Vincent is their Butler, while Kallisto is their maid. FINNIGAN FAMILY half-blood || middle-class || neutral The Finnigans are a family of wizarding and muggle heritage. The father, Caleb Finnigan, is a Muggle who works in Ireland as a teacher, and the mother, half-blood witch Selina O'Malley, is Head of the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office. GAUNT FAMILY pure-blood || wealthy || parselmouth || purist The House of Gaunt is a pure-blood family descended from Cadmus Peverell and Salazar Slytherin. They have a tendency of marrying their cousins to keep their blood pure and to retain the traits of their ancestor, most notably the ability to speak Parseltongue. Marvolo Gaunt runs the household, and his wife, Carrie Gaunt née Gaunt, tends to the household. The family runs a museum in Little Hangleton which makes more than enough money to maintain their wealth. This is the second richest family in the wizarding world. GOYLE FAMILY pure-blood || poor || purist The Goyle family comes from a long line of purebloods. They are a fairly poor family. Their father, Roland Goyle, is a janitor at Hogwarts, and their mother, Daphne Goyle née Greengrass, is Head Cook over the House Elves. LONGBOTTOM FAMILY pure-blood || middle-class || neutral Longbottom is the surname of a pure-blood wizarding family. Most Longbottoms do not hold prejudice based on blood purity. Stephanie Longbottom née Prewett, the mother of the Longbottom Family, is an auror, like her husband who unfortunately was killed during a mission. LOVEGOOD FAMILY pure-blood || middle-class || neutral The Lovegoods are a pure-blooded wizarding family. They live in a house near Ottery St. Catchpole in Devon, England. The Lovegoods are generally regarded as unusual by mainstream society as they tend to hold and espouse belief in things most others do not believe in, often published in the family magazine, The Quibbler. Merlin Lovegood, the family's father, is an author for The Quibbler himself. His wife, Agatha Lovegood née Malfoy is an editor for the same magazine. MALFOY FAMILY pure-blood || wealthy || purist Malfoy is the surname of a wealthy pure-blood wizarding family. They live in Malfoy Manor in Wiltshire, England. The father, Percius Malfoy, was recently elected as the Minister of Magic, and his wife, Tiberta Malfoy née Black, is a homemaker. This is the richest family in the wizarding world. PARKINSON FAMILY pure-blood || middle-class || purists The Parkinsons are an old family with a habit of marrying into larger, older, wealthier families. While not overly wealthy themselves, they have friends in high places and usually find ways to get what they want with or without money. The parents, Augustus Parkinson and Sylvia Parkinson née Flint, own a wand shop. Augustus designs wands and his wife serves as the clerk. Their shop is not nearly as famous as say, Ollivanders, but they make enough to get by. POTTER FAMILY pure-blood || middle-class || blood-traitors The Potters are a family of ancient ancestry. The Potters are known for having an unnatural affinity for Dark Magic, though, for the most part, they refrain from practicing it for preservation of righteousness. Robert Potter, the father, is head Auror, and his wife, Catherine Potter née Black is an Auror. This is the third richest family in the wizarding world. TONKS FAMILY half-blood || middle-class || metamorphmagus || blood-traitors The Tonks family are of half-blood descent. The family itself is very poor, though they do have unique and rare abilities. Like their pure-blood mother, Pelagia Tonks née Black, they are metamorphmagus. The father, Tim Tonks, is an Auror for the Ministry. WEASLEY FAMILY pure-blood || poor || blood-traitors The Weasleys are a pureblooded wizarding family. The family home, known as the Burrow, is located just outside Ottery St. Catchpole, in Devon, England. The father, Doug Weasley, works for the ministry studying muggle artifacts. His wife, Agnes Weasley née Prewett, is a homemaker.
